Five Reasons Chrome OS Will Succeed

There’s little doubt in my mind that Google will not fail with Chrome OS. (For the opposite view, see "Five Reasons Google Chrome OS Will Fail" by my mistaken colleague, David Coursey.) Sure, the company’s been known for a few misses, but it’s already proven that it can build a solid operating system — not to mention a Web browser, cloud computing suite, and the best search engine in the world. Chrome OS would be very competitive on Microsoft operating systems. I was thinking that one day, Google would launch an Operating system that would complete with Windows XP or Vista. Google and Microsoft would compete head to head now that Microsft launched its Bing search engine.
